The Wynnstay Arable Specialists Team are trained to provide high quality, technical advice to their customers helping increase on-farm margins and profitability.

The team covers a broad regional area providing customers with advice on arable and forage inputs- from soil analysis to fertiliser planning, seed selection, agronomy advice and crop marketing.

Region- West Midlands, Worcestershire, Warwickshire

Charlie joined Wynnstay in 2014 having completed a degree in Agriculture at Harper Adams University. Charlie has been involved in agriculture from a young age, previously working on arable and livestock farms prior to joining Wynnstay.

Edward PorterEdward Porter

Region: Shropshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

Edward joined Wynnstay in 2015 after completing his MSc in Sustainable Crop Production: Agronomy at the University of Warwick. He has gained practical farming experience in both the UK and Australia.

Sarah Jane BaldwinSarah-Jane Baldwin

Region: Cheshire

Sarah Jane joined Wynnstay in 1994 and has further developed Wynnstay’s presence in Cheshire and the surrounding counties with her expertise in animal feed and associated products, along with arable inputs such as fertiliser and seed

Region: Derbyshire, Staffordshire and South Cheshire.

Chris joined the team in 2017 having previously worked in Staffordshire as a Sprayer Operator and Arable Operator, gaining a wealth of experience to advise his customers on soil nutrition, fertiliser, along with cereal and forage seed advice.

Joe WoodJoe Wood

Region: Office based trader

Joe joined Wynnstay in 2016 on the Arable Graduate Scheme, after graduating from Harper Adams University with a BSc (Hons) degree in Food and Consumer Studies. Joe works as an office-based Arable Trader – providing bespoke arable and forage inputs advice to farmers and offering competitive quotations.

Kate MillingtonKate Millington

Region: North Yorkshire

Kate has a degree in Agriculture and Land Management from Aberystwyth University. She joined Woodheads Seeds in 2012, initially in a temporary role, and was later offered a full time position as a Farm Trader. Kate completed her Crop Inspectors exam in 2012 and BASIS in 2013.

Rebecca ShrimptonRebecca Shrimpton

Region: South West England

Rebecca joined Wynnstay in 2018 having previously worked for Agrii (formerly Dalgety Agric). With her vast agricultural knowledge, Rebecca is able to offer advice on all aspects of arable and forage farming including variety selection, fertiliser advice and crop recommendations.

Sarah EvansSarah Evans

Region: Gloucestershire & Surrounding Counties

Sarah joined Wynnstay in September 2018.   She previously worked for Timac Agro as a Crop Nutritionist in the Gloucestershire and surrounding area, advising farmers on soil health practises and enhancing products. Prior to this she worked for DLF Trifolium at their Breeding and Research station in Gloucestershire as a Trials Officer.

 Carl Taylor  Carl Taylor 

Senior Agronomist and Arable Specialist

Region: North Yorkshire

Carl joined Wynnstay Arable Team in March 2015. He started his career in 1987 as a Trainee Arable Specialist with UAM. Through the years he has experienced many changes in the industry, using this experience and knowledge to give valuable advice to his customers.
